This protocol decides who Canada Snowboard enters in the 2026–27 FIS Alpine World Cups.
Maximum team size (quota allocation, men | women)
World Cups are grouped into blocks. Each block has its own EOI and selection deadline.
Other dates and deadlines
Submit an EOI before the EOI deadline for each block. National Team athletes are not required to submit an EOI (GSP Section D.2.d).
The Selection Committee’s recommendations of available Quota shall be made on the basis of the athlete’s FIS ranking, points, and performances during the current competition season (as of the Selection Deadline), which is defined as the period between August 2026 – April 2027.
Notwithstanding the identified Selection Deadline for each block of competitive opportunities, Canada Snowboard reserves the right to consider results/FIS points obtained or published after the stated Selection Deadline where the Selection Committee considers, in its sole discretion, that such change is desirable to field the team most capable of achieving Canada Snowboard's performance objectives. Where Canada Snowboard amends the stated Selection Deadline, all applicable references to the Selection Deadline that follow will be taken to mean the amended date.
Appeals must be submitted in accordance with the Canada Snowboard Appeal Policy and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. PST seven (7) days after the date the athlete is notified of the decision.

Eligible athlete(s), by FIS declared gender, who achieve the following results at eligible FIS WC competitions from the 2026/27 competitive season (as of the Selection Deadline) in order to be considered:
Eligible athletes will be ranked by taking the athlete’s average of their best two (2) result, based on field placing expressed as a percentage, from eligible 2026/27 FIS WCs (as of the Selection Deadline).
Allocated based on a ranking list, created by FIS declared gender, where eligible athletes will be ranked in descending order (from highest to lowest) by the average of the FIS Point value
awarded for their top two (2) final results at eligible Level 2 (or higher) competitions, specified below, during the current August 2026 through April 2027 competition season (as of the Selection Deadline). Below are the results from competitions which FIS Points will be considered within the ranking process:
